Eddie runs a successful car salvage business based in Inverness, with car scrappage operations across Scotland.
His website had brought in lots of leads over the years, but recently enquiries were grinding to a halt.
Eddie called me in to investigate and find out why.
I quickly found that there was duplicate content across multiple sites which was harming his website search rankings on Google.
There were numerous websites using the same content to bring in leads from multiple sources.
This was a common tactic employed by SEOs about 5-10 years ago.
It used to work too! but times have changed, Google has gotten more clever and this tactic now does more harm than good.
