The Brief
Amber Jenkins is a qualified reflexologist and advanced level reiki practitioner based in Gourock. Her services have a range of reported benefits for her many clients across Greenock, Gourock, Inverclyde and beyond.
Operating from her therapy room in Nchantments in Gourock, Amber was keen to spread her wings and attract more clients to her business, and spread the word of the benefits of reflexology and reiki.
She asked Design hero to help build her a new business website to help showcase some of the reported benefits of her services, and let her clients find and book her treatments online.

Amber’s services are often misunderstood, so the new website would be a key tool in helping Amber reach new clients and increase her business reach in the Inverclyde area.
The new website gets up and personal with Amber as a therapist: her clients can get to know her extensive experience, and what motivates her as a reflexology and reiki practitioner in Gourock.
For Amber, the benefits that her client’s report are extensive and the effect of her treatments have to be experienced in person.
Translating this into the digital experience of a website is tricky: a soft color palette and gentle fading transitions and animations help to transport the user into Amber’s therapy room in Gourock:

The hero section opens with a prominent call to action to highlight the benefits of Amber’s services, and invite users to book treatments or learn more.
The Reiki Experience
The experience of reflexology and reiki was one of the most important selling points of the new website, so lots of effort was put into simulating the relaxing experience of Amber’s treatments.
Animations and Effects
I’ve tried to convey the relaxing nature of Amber’s treatments with soft fade transitions and parallax animations to add depth to the website experience.
Benefits Page
The benefits of reiki and reflexology are well reported, if not well researched. Amber was keen to convey the benefits her clients report, and each benefit has been cleanly displayed on her website.
Online Booking Form
The main goal of the site is to increase bookings so the site features a bespoke online booking form on each page to let Amber’s clients book directly via the site.
Treatment Thumbnails
Amber’s treatments are beautifully displayed with high quality photography and a subtle icon for each service, inviting users to learn more about each service.
Treatment Pages
Each treatment is given it’s own page on the website, with key information displayed clearly for Amber’s clients, and links to additional services featured prominently in the sidebar. Users can also book each treatment directly from the website.
Website Reviews
Amber’s reviews were outstanding and they have been displayed on the site proudly on each service page, and on the homepage to help establish trust and encourage further bookings.
Online Vouchers
The new business website features booking forms, with the ability to purchase vouchers online via a vouchers page where the user can specify the amount and recipient of each voucher.
About Amber
The website is personal to Amber, and helps to establish Amber as an expert in her field, as well as letting her clients get to know her background and numerous accreditation better.
