Design Hero helped this Ion wristband business to revitalize their product branding in glasgow with a new tech-focused theme. After having elevated the branding, we got to work on building a new eCommerce website for Ion Body Armour, using bright and neon colours, soft blurs and sharp lines in the design to convey the attention to detail in the product range.
The next stage of the project was to commission a range of new 3D assets for use across the brand, web and social media, from Ferghaus – 3D visuals specialist for e-commerce.
Ion Body Armour’s new e Commerce website build puts the customer experience front and centre, with an interactive design and an easy-to-follow user journey. We emphasised the positive experiences of the brand’s customers through social proof in the form of testimonials and product reviews.
In addition, we integrated a new affiliate system into the website, to drive more site traffic and automate the affiliate commissions process.
We elevated the brand and developed a brand-new eCommerce website to help Ion Body Armour’s Ion wearables go worldwide. Infused with a combination of minerals, the Ion Body Armour products harness the power of negative ions and provide a natural boost to everyday life.
Offering benefits such as improved health and well-being, Ion Body Armour wanted to reach a wider customer base so that more people could experience the benefits of these wearable ion products.

Positive ions are everywhere in the modern world, due to the technology that surrounds us, and the effects of these positive ions are often associated with symptoms such as headaches and fatigue. Ion Body Armour’s wearables are designed to combat these effects with the negative ions found in nature.
The new tech-focused branding communicates the connection between modern-day technology and the positive ions, which, unlike their name, can have a negative impact on our bodies, minds, and overall well-being.
The new eCommerce website was developed in line with the newly-elevated Ion Body Armour brand. The website uses bright neon colours to entice the end user, along with an easy-to-follow journey through the website and online store. The imagery helps to communicate the different demographics that benefit from the wearable ion products, to help appeal to a wider market.
The goal was to help Ion Body Armour go worldwide with their wearable ion products, and the new website and revitalised brand is a great starting point for that.
The website design communicates how ion wearables act as a defence against harmful ions in our modern world, due to technology. The website home page begins with branded imagery to communicate this, before transitioning to the key benefits of the products with an interactive design.
The bright neon colours used throughout the website give contrast to the otherwise dark branding and appeal to website visitors.
An enticing and easy-to-follow user journey guides website visitors and customers throughout the site, allowing them to easily navigate it to find what they are looking for.
