Design of sales brochures, advertising for a community group in Argyll

The Brief
The Lido is a shop and Post Office in South Cowal, Argyll, and Bute. It sells a range of groceries but critically it provides the only access to postal and banking services in the village. The current owner wanted to sell up the shop and move on, so the heart of the community was in peril.
South Cowal Community Enterprises was set up to organise a community buyout of the local shop before it was sold on.
Lindsay asked me on behalf of the board of SCCE asked me to help with graphic design to help them get their message out to the community.
I was commissioned to design various marketing and promotional materials for the community shares buyout, as well as provide design input on the logo and produce an 18 page brochure to present the buyout to the public.
🏪 Shop Signage

Lindsay asked me to refresh the logo for the shop and do a similar logo for the SCCE.
This new brand from Design Hero for South Cowal Community Enterprises and The Lido shop takes the original design and refines the logo with a fresh look.
Logopack
I designed a full logopack including logos for the Lido, and logos for the SSCE.

The new logo for the shop was more refined than the previous logo, to attract more attention from a distance.
Color Scheme
The colour scheme was taken from nautical tones in the previous logo.

I helped Lindsay and the board with graphic design such as posters, advertisements, shop signage, banners and more to help them promote and attract attention to their cause.

This 18-page brochure was designed for South Cowal Community Enterprises in order to present dense information on the community share buyout to the public in a format which was easy to read for a potential investor.

I helped explore the logo in other formats such as shop signage.
🎴 Posters
I designed posters for A1, A3 and A4 size printing to distribute throughout Cowal to promote the share offer opening.
🖨️ Large Banners
I also created various banners and large form prints to attract passing traffic and drivers.
I designed this large scale vinyl banner to grab attention and advertise the buyout of the Lido shop.
