Design Hero worked on this rewarding website project for Glasgow-based charity, Weekday Wow Factor, who support the ageing population by combating loneliness.
Weekday Wow Factor create fun, freedom, and friendships with their exciting leisure activities to keep active, learn new skills and boost confidence. They work with adults aged 50+ of all ages and abilities, to awaken the inner child by using exciting and healthy leisure activities, and to enhance health and well-being, making new friendships and gaining new confidence along the way.
They enlisted the help of Design Hero to build a booking website for the community to use to view and book virtual and face-to-face activities. Accessibility was key, so we used oversized UI and a simple navigation to ensure the site is as easy to read and navigate as possible.

Design Hero created an accessible, easy-to-navigate booking website that features oversized UX to ensure the end user can find the information they want with ease. We designed a simple navigation and used clear UX with bright colours to make sure that the site is not only fun but easy to navigate for the elderly community.
We worked closely with the client’s in-house marketing team to ensure the website was on-brand, fun, and speaks to the target market.
The bright, bold fonts and colours help to convey the sense of fun that Pasna brings to these community activities. It was important that we designed a website that not only captures a sense of fun, but also conveys the important message of loneliness in ageing populations.

When creating the booking website, we needed to keep the end user in mind. The website needed to be easily accessible, user-friendly, and simple to navigate for an ageing population.
