Graeme is a friend, neighbour, and a new client for Design Hero.
It’s rare that you get the pleasure of working with someone who’s already such a good friend.
It’s great because you’re already on the same wavelength and the whole project just seems to drive itself.
Which is useful when all your meetings have to be held from 2m separation over a fence!
We immediately hit it off when I moved into the area a couple of years ago, I’ve always admired his gift of the gab.
Graeme was a personal trainer for some years, then a salesman, now he leads his own team of salesmen.
His latest venture is a series of motivational podcast videos.
He knew exactly what he wanted to do, but needed some advice and coaching on how to use social media, develop his brand and grow his series of video podcasts.
He’s been busy starting a new video podcast promoting positivity, motivation and real-life interviews for people in lockdown across the country.
As Graeme’s podcast has grown, his personal brand has developed with it:

Graeme asked me to help him develop and grow his positivity podcast. My first suggestion was to developΒ his “personal brand”, and what defines him as an online personality.
To that end, I designed a logo based on a caricature of Graeme to capture his affable, over the top personality.
I’ve helped Graeme extend his personal brand to his many social channels. The artwork exudes his over the top personality and personal presentation style.

Pure, unadulterated Graeme Ashton, with his unique podcast show featuring banter, motivation and real-life stories which tackle difficult subjects with humour.
Graeme later asked me to build a new website to host his online podcast and radio show. His personal brand had evolved by this point, bringing a new edge to Graeme’s comedy banter and I had to reflect this in the new website.
puregash.com is the new website integrates his Spotify podcast into the website to encourage listeners to have a listen.
It was also important to encourage users to sign up to Graeme’s newsletters to build a loyal and targeted audience for his podcast.
